Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Tipping Point Theatre! Because we are a small, non-profit theatre, volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and we are always eager to welcome new people aboard.

Ushering

What are we looking for?
Someone excited about Tipping Point
A willingness to help
Ushering is the most straight forward and least time consuming way to volunteer at Tipping Point Theatre. You’re required to show up 1 hour before a performance in the typical usher uniform; black bottoms with a white top. The House Manager will give you a run down of what to expect for that performance. You will help patrons to their seats and, as long as we are not sold out, you will stay and enjoy the show for free! Interested in joining our ushering ranks? Click here!
Set Build
Work Load | Heavy
Time Commitment | Varies
What are we looking for?
Experience with power tools
Interest in set build
Weekday availability
Able to lift 25+ lbs
Ability to take on multiple projects and learn new things
Set Build means helping us by getting your hands, and sometimes your clothes, dirty! Comfortable with a power tool? Interested in contributing to the set of a professional theatre? Set build is just for you! We spend 4 weeks in build for each production and would love to have you join us make the set come to life!
Box Office
Work Load: Medium
Time Commitment: Varies
What are we looking for?
Basic understanding of computers
Experience in retail or similar
Customer service skills
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Weekday availability
Our Box Office is manned by our apprentices as well as a select group of volunteers. They are the first point of contact our patrons experience at the theatre and are trained to get patrons the best seats available. We are looking for volunteers with a willingness to help our patrons navigate our ticketing system.

Spotlight Volunteer Award
Every year TPT honors our volunteers at our Member’s Choice Awards. On this evening Tipping Point celebrates the value of our volunteers and gives out our Spotlight Volunteer Award to one or two individuals whose efforts have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help Tipping Point.
