About
Tipping Point Theatre is dedicated to uplifting local artists and is always looking for new ways to do so. IN THE WORKS is a new program that focuses on the early process of page to stage. It offers an opportunity for playwrights to have their new script read by actors, as well as collaborate with a director for one week. This process culminates in a staged reading in front of an audience. This audience is then invited to be a part of the artistic discussion after the reading.
WE THREE by Linda Ramsay-Detherage
November, 1918 brings influenza and the end of World War I to New Orleans. Three witches exact revenge for an insult, the consequences of which unfold through a meeting with an ambitious woman and her desire for power. The sisters discover that their fate is inexorably altered through their desire to put things right as they attempt to lift a mediocre man to power and inadvertently destroy another. This play is based on themes from Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Ed Ryan can’t wait to meet his boyhood hero, retired NFL player Don Devers. Ed idolizes one of the game’s legends, and from their first encounter in Halftime with Don, Don doesn’t disappoint. Don’s larger-than-life personality—even in retirement—retains all the passion and determination Don had during his career. He also carries with him the impact of all those years playing the game. In addition to Don, Ed is influenced by his pregnant wife, Sarah, and Don’s equally formidable daughter, Stephanie. Through his relationships with Sarah, Stephanie and Don, Ed comes into his own as an adult just as he’s about to become a father. Halftime with Don is a beautiful play celebrating the messy intricacies (and responsibilities) of love, marriage and parenting.
