Angie Kane Ferrante

The Last Five Years is Angie’s acting debut at Tipping Point having previously had the honor of directing A Comedy of Tenors, Every Brilliant Thing, and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. She is a graduate of the Wayne State University Theatre program, and is a proud Resident Artist of the Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea, MI where she serves as a director, AEA Stage Manager, and vocal & movement teacher. Angie is also a licensed massage therapist and outdoor enthusiast. Starting in April 2019 she will set off to thru hike the 2,650 miles of The Pacific Crest Trail.

Dani Cochrane*

Dani Cochrane is excited to be returning to Tipping Point Theatre as a director! You may recognize her from the TPT stage in such shows as Boeing Boeing, The Rainmaker, or The Odd Couple (female version). Dani holds an MFA from the Hilberry Repertory Program at Wayne State University, has studied abroad at the Moscow Art Theatre School, and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity. When not onstage, Dani works in film and voice over, as well as directing for Roeper’s Summer Stock Theatre Program.

Frannie Shepherd-Bates

Frannie is thrilled to be back at Tipping Point after last season’s “Young Americans.” Frannie has directed for many of southeast Michigan’s professional theatres and has worked with young people in educational theatre programs. She is the founder and director of Shakespeare in Prison (SIP), a program of Detroit Public Theatre, where she also serves as Director of Programs. She has been recognized for her work as an artist and arts advocate and has been featured numerous times in local, regional, national, and international media for her work in prisons and as an artist. Love and gratitude to John and Miles.

Beth Torrey

Beth Torrey most recently directed Office Hours, and Sexy Laundry, which became Tipping Point's top selling show ever! Other shows Beth has directed for TPT include; Wiley and the Hairy Man, Leaving Iowa (Wilde Award Winner for Best Play), Cemetery Club (Tipping Point's Audience Choice Award Winner), as well as directing for the summer Sandbox Festival. She has previously directed at many area professional theatres and began her professional career as a proud graduate of the Purple Rose Theatre Company's Apprentice Program.
