Bernard, an American architect and a self-styled swinging playboy, keeps a flat in Paris that he uses as his base of operations for a ridiculous scheme: by only dating air hostesses who serve on international routes and paying careful attention to their airlines’ timetables, he can juggle three different ladies whose paths never cross.

But the invention of a super-high-speed Boeing jet and a huge North Atlantic storm system conspire to bring all three ladies to the apartment simultaneously, wreaking havoc on Bernard’s plans.

"This is the kind of slamming-door bedroom farce where the action is timed to the millisecond. Even on opening night, the cast had it down."                                                                                                                                                                        - John Monaghan, The Detroit Free Press
"Director Dave Davies, who knows “funny” as well as anybody in town, works his agile ensemble to deliver a play that is irresistible to watch."
-Patrice Nolan, Encore Michigan

From the playwright of The Love List, Looking, and The Foursome comes six different stories in six different offices across a city, cleverly intertwined into one hell of a good time.

L to R: Ryan Carlson, Wayne David Parker, Sarah Hawkins Moan, Terry Heck, Kyle Mitchell Johnson

From an overweight jockey to a desperate movie producer, from a domineering mother to a Week-at-a-Glance salesman, the play's characters are all intent on holding their lives together by keeping reality at bay.

"Office Hours is an entertaining show that goes easy on the brain even while providing strong comedic situations."
Daniel Skora, It's All Theatre
"In the program notes for Tipping Point’s Office Hours, one of the actors mentions being proud to help 'you escape into genuine laughter' during these stressful times. And sheer silly escapism is exactly what the show has to offer."
Amy J. Parrent, Encore Michigan

The funniest play about depression you'll ever see

The list began after her first attempt.  A list of everything brilliant about the world.  Everything worth living for:

1. Ice cream.
2. Water fights.
3. Staying up past your bedtime and being allowed to watch TV.
4. The color yellow.
5. Things with stripes.
6. Rollercoasters.

It’s a story that’s as heartwarming as it is discussion-worthy, and it’ll leave theatre-goers better off for having experienced it.

The play, a Michigan Premiere for Tipping Point, was written by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe and originated at Britain's Ludlow Fringe Festival in 2013.  It has been performed at New York City’s Barrow Street Theatre and was recently the subject of an HBO documentary.  The Guardian called the play “Heart-wrenching, hilarious... possibly one of the funniest plays you'll ever see, full stop.”

“The intimate nature of our 100+ seat theatre, combined with the immersive storytelling in this play is a formula for a beautiful production,” said James R. Kuhl, Tipping Point’s Producing Artistic Director and one of two actors that will take the stage for the run of the show.  The second actor, Katherine Banks, presents the same script, allowing for a different take on the role and an opportunity for audiences to enjoy this wonderful tale from a female storyteller.

Abby isn't known for her friendliness at Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, and that's just the way she likes it. After all, when nobody wants to be your roommate, you get a double room with a view all to yourself.

When Marilyn moves in, with her cheery disposition and optimistic outlook, Abby knows she'll need to break her if she wants her privacy back. But Marilyn isn't going down without a fight. And that's when they make "The Bet."

How far will they go in this hilarious escalation of pranks, tricks, and attacks?

When Rob and Maddie, longtime Michiganders, move down South for Maddie's new job, Rob quickly discovers that the opossum living under their deck isn't the worst of his problems.

When their friendly next-door neighbor invites Rob to join him in a Civil War reenactment, a simple and comical misunderstanding ignites a hilarious private war that threatens to demolish the couple's new life before it even begins.

See if geography can bind these two sides or if the battle wounds will cut too deep.
